The complex nature of the room you stay in, can at times indicate the simplicity of your being. Search for utilities, may look a complex adventure, but in its very search is the simplicity of our child like behaviour and hence its relevance.
The freezing cold of the Isles, clads you in your warmest best - the puffed up quilt like jackets to keep the cold breeze at bay, the scarves to guard from it entering your chest, and the convenient shoes that remind us of our early proverbial engagement :
'paon garam, pet naram, sar thanda, doctor ko danda'
But colds have a way of their own, they trouble one even in the temperate warmth of artificial heating, as it does to me. Gauri and Balki who also attend this event spend time with me in my room, and the lady gives me a packet of an ayurvedic dissolvable in a glass of hot water, and it seems to be working ..
Marrakech welcomes us with its customary warmth and etiquette. They did that in 2003 when I first visited here for a decoration they gave me individually at the Festival. It was honor enough. But now they acknowledge the 100 years of Indian Cinema, and invite an entire delegation of our fraternity to be decorated by some very prominent French celebrities, on the Saturday to come. Indian cinema has indeed come a long way, and I feel so blessed to have been a small part of it.
Thank you Marrakech and thank you the people of Morocco for your welcoming warmth and lasting hospitality.
I keep this short for a purpose - it provides impetus to become larger in subsequent DAY’s .. also it gives me time to nurse the after effects of changing climates and differing temperatures ..
My love with you as ever ..
